About the course

Does your job require you to be a master wordsmith? This course covers speechwriting and all the tricks and tools of the trade. Rhetoric, props, how to read the room - and just as importantly, what to avoid. Even something as small as body language can spell success or failure. And with our expert help, you'll know exactly what to do. The course is interactive, and we encourage you to bring your upcoming work!
Our trainer is Paul Richards, a former special adviser to a government minister with over 20 years' experience. He regularly trains individuals and organisations in the UK, but has also delivered courses in Tanzania, Kenya, Pakistan, Ghana, Croatia, South Africa and Iraq.

This course will cover

• Speech writing

• Rhetoric

• Persuasive Argument

• Researching

• Building a rapport

• Intelligence gathering

• Promotional materials

I've already put the training in practice with an interview on the local BBC radio. My answers were full of rhetorical techniques, such as imagery and groups of three. I'm really pleased with how it went, so an immediate result from the training!

This course is open to anyone, regardless of their political affiliation, and we anticipate a politically mixed audience.
